The Problem
_____________

For a long time, we have believed that trauma is something that only impacts a few and pathologized it in a way that has kept us from being honest with ourselves about how and where we are affected by it.

We have not been allowed to address it in our workplaces, coaching relationships, personal relationships, and even within ourselves, due to stigma, and a lack of understanding of what trauma actually is and how to handle it outside of therapeutic space.

Trauma shows up in our workplaces in hustle culture, burnout, overwhelm, racism, and sexism.  Trauma shows up in our personal relationships as attachment issues, intimacy issues, trust issues and conflict.  It shows up in the coaching relationship as hyper-vigilance, overcompensation, being stuck, unwillingness, shut-down, lack of vision, and fear.

Over 67% of all adults have unresolved trauma, often from early life, without even realizing it

The Solution
__________

Through education and awareness, we are able to understand the biology and impacts of trauma within ourselves, our clients, and our teams.

When we understand how to work with our biology, when we understand the wisdom trauma holds, and when we learn to partner to co-regulate and provide safer and more inclusive spaces for people, we will be able to create a systemic impact and healing on the personal and collective levels.

This is true transformation at the core. The time is now for those in positions of power to educate ourselves, and to do our own work to create an inclusive, healed, and resilient world.

__________

Hi, I'm Heather!

I'm on a mission to remove the stigma around trauma and mental health, restore agency to our innate wisdom and healing capacities, and bring back the tools that humans used for years in our spiritual traditions.

Early in my career, I was trained and participated in outdated methods of coaching and facilitation that led to gas-lighting and re-traumatization of marginalized groups, and those with a history of trauma.

I left those spaces knowing deep in my bones that what I experienced and saw others experiencing was not ok. Then came the pandemic, and a major culture shift around mental health and systemic racism in our organizational spaces. People with little to no training on how to ethically hold space for these issues began hosting programs and re-traumatizing participants in the process.

Since then I have committed to shifting this dynamic by educating leaders and transformational professionals with my Trauma-Informed Leadership Framework.

Hi, I'm Kristen!

I am a relationship coach, clinically trained mental health professional, and spiritual healer.

I help perfectionist individuals overcome the people-pleasing, unhealthy boundaries, and self-abandonment that keeps them from living fully expressed authentic lives they love. I spent a decade in the mental health field working to support patients in crisis and with severe trauma. My background and expertise include; psychology, ontological and trauma-informed coaching, substance-abuse counseling, ADHD in children and adolescents, and Jikiden Reiki.
